Important reporting update
Storm Team
Report by 9:00 AMFriday, October 9
This replaces the previously communicated 4:00 PM arrival time.
- All storm team members, including overnight staff, must arrive by 9:00 AM, regardless of their scheduled shift start time.
- Property access must be monitored ahead of the 9:00 AM deadline.
- Department Directors will coordinate updated 12-hour schedules, shift start times, relief coverage, and timekeeping.
Anticipated Return to Normal Operations
Saturday, October 10 – 7:00 AM (Tentative)
Normal operations and regularly scheduled shifts are targeted to resume at 7:00 AM Saturday, weather and road conditions permitting. This time is not confirmed.
Storm team hotel checkout is also targeted for 7:00 AM Saturday to allow Housekeeping to prepare rooms.
Weather Hotline Update: An additional employee update is planned for approximately 6:00 AM Saturday.

Hancock County Emergency Shelter
Due to potential flooding and severe weather associated with Hurricane Isaias, Hancock County will open an emergency shelter for residents in need.

- Opens: Friday, October 9 at 9:00 AM
Closes: Saturday, October 10 at 12:00 PM (Noon)
The American Red Cross will provide cots, blankets, water, and meals. Residents should bring necessary personal items.
