Dining at Silver Slipper
An Exhibition Kitchen on the Gulf
Welcome to Blue Bayou Bar & Grill
At Blue Bayou Bar & Grill, dinner starts with a view of the work: an open exhibition kitchen where cooks handle Gulf seafood, oysters and USDA Prime steaks in full sight of the dining room. It's the centerpiece of the restaurant inside Silver Slipper Casino Hotel, and it sets a confident, unhurried tone for the evening.
The menu leans on two strengths. Gulf seafood — oysters, shrimp, crab and daily catch — arrives close to where it was pulled from the water. On the other side of the kitchen, USDA Prime steaks are handled with the same exhibition-kitchen care, cooked to order in view of the room rather than tucked behind a wall.
Oysters are a signature here, served the way regulars expect: simply, and without apology. Pair a dozen with a cocktail from the bar before moving on to a steak or a seafood plate — the full current dinner menu is posted below so you can plan before you arrive.
Blue Bayou also hosts two standing offers worth knowing about. Every Sunday, the restaurant serves a made-to-order brunch with a breakfast buffet and bottomless mimosas. And on Wednesdays, the room turns into Prime & Wine, a prime rib and house wine dinner. Both use the same kitchen and staff, just on a different schedule.
If seafood and steak aren't the mood tonight, Silver Slipper has two other kitchens under one roof: the all-you-can-eat spread and largest salad bar on the coast at Jubilee Buffet, or the round-the-clock comfort food at Palm Court Café.

21+ ONLY. All guests must be 21 years of age or older to enter the casino, restaurants, hotel, and pool area. Valid government-issued photo ID required.

Accompanied by our House Caesar or Iceberg Lettuce Wedge Salad* and Vegetables du Jour. Our Beef is sourced from Cooperatives of Family Farmers exclusively raising English Beef Breeds of cattle, such as Angus and Hereford in Midwestern and Great Plains states, on fertile pastures, where corn is indigenous and abundant. The cattle are pasture raised and finished on grains to produce the highest quality levels of marbling. This ensures both tenderness and a distinctive, rich buttery flavor. That allows it to achieve the USDA Prime Beef Grade, a standard that only 2-3% of all beef raised in the United States will ever become. We custom age our USDA Prime Beef for 45 days to exact specifications, perfecting tenderness and enhancing flavor.
