Silver Slipper’s Jubilee Named Best Casino Buffet
Hancock County –August 18, 2014 – Silver Slipper Casino’s Jubilee Buffet has been voted “Best Buffet” along the Alabama and Mississippi Gulf Coast, as announced by al.com which conducted an informal poll inviting people to vote for the best buffet in the area. Out of 8,000 votes cast, Silver Slipper Casino’s Jubilee Buffet was one of the top three selected, receiving over 3,000 votes. Al.com’s columnist, David Holloway, then visited the top three, naming Silver Slipper Casino’s Jubilee Buffet the definite front runner and “Best Casino Buffet”.
So, we come to the conclusion that an effective team goes to a common goal, consists of professionals (6-8 people) and works in one room. Team members are continually evolving and sharing knowledge, responding quickly to customer feedback, and have an influential leader. An effective team buyer seller synchronization is also committed to achieving challenging and ambitious goals. The team is ready to continuously improve, go beyond the standard framework of solving problems and overcome difficulties together! In the next article I will talk about roles in teams, how it happens and how an effective team really works, relying solely on its own practice.
John N. Ferrucci, General Manager for Silver Slipper Casino stated, “Since opening eight years ago, we realized that being a smaller gaming property than our competition, and our location and lack of hotel, might be a challenge and that we would need to do something that would set us apart from the competition.” Ferrucci noted that the majority of the Slipper’s guests drive from Southeast Louisiana, thus they wanted to create a comfortable atmosphere featuring great customer service and an extensive selection of cuisine that catered to them, as well as locals. “We felt that if we could get them here for the great dining experience, they would definitely feel comfortable staying to play and enjoy the entertainment,” stated Ferrucci.
The Jubilee Buffet features a made-to-order pasta station, as well as, Asian, Mexican and Southern stations, each offering an extensive selection. The brisket carving station offers fork-tender smoky brisket, slow cooked, daily, in the Slipper’s very own in-house smoker. There is also a huge dessert station which includes sugar free desserts and a made-to-order funnel cake station, a personal favorite of Holloway.

The Slipper’s dinner buffet is well known for their huge scrumptious butterflied fried shrimp, peel-and-eat Royal Red shrimp and Snow Crab, offered every night. The buffet is rounded out with an extensive salad bar “reminiscent of a Brazilian steak house” featuring a wide variety of fresh greens, garnishes and house made dressings. Chicken and Sausage gumbo is on the lunch menu with seafood gumbo offered at dinner, as well as a soup of the day.
The Jubilee Sunday buffet offers a Champagne Brunch featuring live jazz music and brunch favorites, until 3:00 p.m. “It’s a party atmosphere, here. Our guests love it and drive from all over for the buffet, the entertainment and the gaming. We may be smaller and harder to find, but our guests feel it’s well worth the drive and that’s what keeps them coming back,” said Ferrucci. “Once our hotel is complete, the first in Spring 2015, we’ll be a complete package and even more of a destination for our guests.”
