Silver Slipper Casino Hosts Up with People

Hancock County – March 17, 2009 – Silver Slipper Casino and the Hancock County Tourism
Development Bureau hosted an All American Lunch for Up with People at noon on
Tuesday, March 17th at the Depot on Old Town Bay St. Louis. “We’re very excited and honored to
host this cultural group from around the world,” said John N. Ferrucci, COO and
General Manager for Silver Slipper Casino.

Ninety students and staff were treated to the Slipper’s foot long hot dogs, baked beans
and potato salad, served buffet style from the Silver Slipper Fire Truck.

Up with People is a global education, travel, service and performing organization comprised
of ninety students and staff representing 22 different countries. The organization’s mission is
cultural immersion, which the students experience by staying with host families in the
communities they visit. The group will be visiting Bay St. Louis through March 23rd.
