Silver Slipper Casino and Diamondhead Community
Announce New Restaurant Venture
Hancock County – July 7, 2008 –The Diamondhead Property Owners Association (P.O.A.) and Silver Slipper Casino officials have announced an agreement to build a new restaurant at the Diamondhead Yacht Club Marina to replace the one lost in Hurricane Katrina. “The Diamondhead Country Club and Property Owners Association, Inc. is pleased to announce that a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with Silver Slipper Casino Venture, LLC for the coordinated construction and operation of a new marina restaurant,” stated Mario Feola, the newly elected President of the Diamondhead P.O.A. Board of Directors. “The Slipper is well known for their award winning cuisine and excellent service. They have the knowledge and experience that we want and need for this project. Thus, our newly elected Diamondhead Board of Directors acted within days of their election to seize the opportunity to work with the Slipper and asked for their assistance."
Silver Slipper officials will design, develop and operate a 3,000 square foot restaurant, bar and open air patio deck offering a casual and comfortable dining atmosphere overlooking the Bay of St. Louis. “We view this as great opportunity to assist our friends, the residents of the Diamondhead community, in their rebuilding efforts,” said John N. Ferrucci, COO and General Manager of Silver Slipper Casino. “Another great restaurant and bar in Diamondhead will benefit everyone. And, it’s not just for Diamondhead residents. This great venue will be available for everyone to enjoy once it’s completed.”
Construction is expected to begin soon with a projected completion in the summer of 2009. “We’re excited about this new joint venture,” Paul Alanis Chairman and CEO of Silver Slipper Gaming told the Diamondhead Board of Directors. “And, we’re looking forward to a grand opening celebration July 4th, next year.”

The P.O.A. reached out to Slipper officials, initially, because many Diamondhead residents have dined and enjoyed the Slipper’s great food venue and entertainment since opening over a year ago. Patrons of the new Diamondhead restaurant will have the opportunity to enjoy the same quality food and service, as well as receive offers that can be redeemed only at Silver Slipper Casino.
“It’s a win-win situation,” said Feola. “Our community will get to enjoy the great food and service that the Slipper is so well known for throughout the Gulf Coast, and the Slipper’s guests can enjoy our other wonderful amenities including golf, tennis, the marina and more.”
